Fulltime remote Perl Developer with experience writing apps for Android

A venerable Perl codebase, powering a significant amount of e-commerce, is looking for a fulltime remote Perl and Android Developer to whip it back into shape and start adding the features its customer base are crying out for – in no small part starting with a move from web-based to Android-based.

You will be:

* Conscientious and careful – you’ll need to carefully test your changes, and be able to introduce new features without breaking the existing codebase

* Comfortable with enough HTML and JavaScript to add new features to a web-based product, but also enough experience with Android that you can help the app relocate to a mobile front-end – experience with iOS for future development would be a plus

* Comfortable with Apache, git, and MySQL for working with the old backend

The role is fulltime remote, 35 hours a week, up to $25 an hour
