use utf8; doesn’t do?
Client is a very successful company in zone 2 with a large, dynamic team of Perl developers. Particularly committed to Perl, they hire across the seniority range – they’re especially good at training up inexperienced but capable junior developers, with frequent internal training run by the very capable and experienced senior developers.
The ideal candidate has a lot of experience with Modern Perl, strong but flexible opinions on the right way to approach a range of common Perl and architectural challenges, and an interest in challenging and growing more junior coworkers. It’s a Senior Perl Developer role, with a particular focus on mentoring.
Skills and Experience
The client is interested in anyone with experience building web apps in Perl, using one of the major Perl frameworks. If you’re a crack-hand with Catalyst, a Mojolicious master, or a distinguished Dance, they want you. You’ll be deploying apps your work to AWS, so experience would be handy, and the company’s big on testing, so they’d like you to know your way around Test::More.

The company is a small company with a lot of personality, owned by a (much) larger company with a lot of financial fire-power – all the best bits of working for a small and agile company with all the reassurance that comes from being part of a big group
